The Team
Mike Doty: It was Mike Doty who believed in Trent and gave him a chance to try a Merlin kart. Mike (a.k.a. "The Cowboy") offers his support 24/7 and sacrifices spending time with his family to travel to all the WKA and STARS events. An amazing guy, Mike is lots of fun to be around, but is also a masterful tuner, mechanic, and driving coach. His years of experience have really taught Trent how to be a racer. None of this season would be possible if it weren't for Mike and we appreciate everything he is doing for Team 64.

Jamie Sieracki: Jamie's support at WKA and STARS events has been a major factor in Team 64's success this season. Jamie is an absolute genius when it comes to tuning Trent's Merlin Cadet. Jamie's presence at all the races, especially the STARS events, has been one of the most important reasons why Trent has achieved such fantastic results this year. Plus, Jamie's dad Geo makes some awesome breakfast burritos at the races!

Gary Woltjer: The horsepower provided by Gary Woltjer is second to none. The effort he puts into building Trent's engines is unsurpassed. He works tirelessly to give Trent the very best he can and we can't thank him enough for all he is doing. Woltjer Racing Engines are number one!

Cale Wyse: National Champion Cale Wyse first worked with Trent at Daytona 2008. He is very smart and knows how to set Trent's karts up so they are super-fast. Cale is an awesome addition to our team. We are looking forward to working with him at many more events.

Picture ComingSteve Welk: As a mechanic as well as a driving coach, Steve's experience behind the wheel has helped Trent learn so many new things on track. Steve works with Trent at the WKA National events and is just an awesome guy to be around.

Picture ComingScott Ferris: When Scott isn't busy racing TaG, Yamaha Heavy, and Senior Sportsman Heavy, he is a great help to Trent as a coach and mechanic. He has worked with Trent at the Northeast Sprint Series events. Scott and his legendary family are responsible for getting Trent started in karting at their home track in Englishtown, NJ.

Gary Osterholt: Without Gary, owner of GO Designs, Tallahasse, Florida, there would be no trenthindman.com. Gary is an innovator in website graphics and designs. He is constantly updating Trent's website which we really appreciate. Gary is truly a leader in his field. Gary is also extremely talented.

Chris Perez: Without Chris, Team 64 would never be able to race all over the country. Chris drives the toterhome and trailer to the WKA Nationals and STARS events. He's pretty handy with a wrench, too.

Mom and Dad: Mom and Dad pay the bills, feed the driver and crew, and love and support Team 64 regardless of how their day goes. Mom and Dad don't get to spend a whole lot of time together with all this racing, but maybe that's a good thing?!

Sloane Hindman: Trent's teenage sister is very busy in her own rite as a competitive swimmer but never too busy to pick up the phone and check in on the team. It is not unusual for these siblings to be separated by hundreds, sometimes thousands of miles on any given weekend, but the support Sloane gives to Trent means the world to him. She is extremely proud of her little bro!

Picture ComingChester: Chester Hindman, the family's Great Dane, is the official team mascot of the 64. Chester has had the opportunity to travel to several races and he especially enjoyed Daytona at Christmastime. Chester misses Trent when he is away racing, but is always ready and waiting at the door with his long tail wagging when the team returns home.

Picture ComingGod: The most valuable part of the team.

Since I hadn't raced a Skip Barber Regional in couple of months, I was excited to get back in the car. Lime Rock is only about a 3 hour drive from our house, so my dad and I woke up at 3 AM to drive to the track in time for practice on Thursday. My dad was driving pretty fast but he didn't get on pole like my mom does when she drives.

I was very excited to get back into a Skip Barber National car and try my second National weekend. Since New Jersey Motorsports Park is only about two hours from our home, it was nice not to have to hang out at airports for once. My dad and I drove down there on Wednesday night so we could be there for the lapping sessions on Thursday. Unfortunately, I had a fever of about 103 degrees and my body felt like garbage. Even though my mom wanted me to stay home like a little baby and take medicine all day, I was like, "No Way!!!" because I wanted to race
